Microneedling

Microneedling creates small, controlled punctures in the skin. A consultation can explore texture, acne-scar appearance and fine-line concerns, alongside your medical and skin history.

Look beyond the surface concern

Discuss active breakouts, infection, healing problems, pigment changes, medicines and recent procedures. Ask whether your concern is appropriate for microneedling and what alternatives should be considered.

What treatment may involve

A device repeatedly introduces fine needles into the skin. Redness, irritation, bleeding or bruising may occur; infection and pigmentation changes are also possible. When improvement occurs, it is gradual and an individual plan may involve more than one visit. A result is not guaranteed.

Protect the recovery period

Ask for a clear skin-care plan covering cleansing, sun protection, makeup and the return to active ingredients. Products that usually feel comfortable can irritate recently treated skin. Follow the instructions supplied for your treatment rather than an at-home needling routine.

Treatment questions

Does this page include radiofrequency microneedling?

No. Radiofrequency is a separate device-based approach and is not specified in the approved treatment list. Discuss the exact device and procedure with the clinician.

Will scars disappear after one visit?

No such outcome can be promised. Scar type, skin history and the treatment plan affect what may be achievable.

Can I use my normal skin products afterward?

Ask the clinician when to restart each product. Sensitivity after treatment can change what your skin tolerates.
